"I don't recommend the Re-mind to everyone"

I lend the Re-minds out for a few weeks, after which patients can buy it from me if necessary. But I'm not commercial at all, I would never make a business out of it. I see it more as a service to the customer, a tool to help the therapy succeed better and faster.

I do not recommend the Re-mind to everyone. The moment I notice: this patient wants to work on his attitude, he or she is motivated but just forgets about it, then I come up with the Re-mind. Then it is a very good tool, exactly what is still missing. And then it works, because all other conditions are met (motivation, insight into the complaint) and then the Re-mind gives that extra push.

Some people do have the discipline to practice regularly themselves. But some people simply forget. These are mainly teenagers, with their busy, chaotic brains. And people who are very perfectionistic in their work. They are completely absorbed in that. I think it's also something of the times. People are always busy-busy-busy and have a lot of distractions.

I think it takes 6-8 weeks for a new habit to become established. I have never heard of anyone barely noticing the stimulus after 2-3 weeks. I would say: wear the Re-mind somewhere else temporarily, so that it stands out. In your sock instead of in your pocket. Or just on the table, in a metal container is also possible, then you hear it instead of feeling it.
